Imagine you place an order online, but you never receive confirmation.  The order was not acknowledged or confirmed by the brand until you reached out via phone/chat.  You then wait an additional 10 minutes to connect with an agent to confirm your order.  When the confirmation email arrives (finally), there is no delivery or tracking information provided.  The design of that experience clearly did not place your very human needs at the center.
